You know you enjoy your innocuous one-line posts too much not to respond.

Hey! I have to be careful about who gets the pleasure of my one liners from now on otherwise I'd get another cyber groupe like Oerdin. Surely you of all people can sympathize with MOBIUS being so lovesick over you.

The problem is they are specifically quoted saying that they want to talk about public policy, IE the firing of US Attorneys who dared to persue Republican corruption, on these private servers because they didn't want want they said to be part of the record.
I must be missing the problem, but thats analogous to private phone calls. I believe the Hatch Act deals with the use of gov't stuff for private or party purposes, not privately talking policy with advisers. If I'm Rove and I'm talking to political cronies certainly I dont have to make that part of the public record, I'm even using a private set up. I'm sure the Dems had or have a similar arrangement, the parties had to adjust to the Hatch Act and that meant acquiring private means of communication. I'd be real surprised if the law requires all these private communications to be made part of the public record, both parties would hate that and so would I.

Karl Rove supposedly does ALL of his e-mailing, even about public policy, on the secret RNC servers and then makes sure it gets deleted in violation of federal law. That is a crime as was refusing to reveal that these secret servers existed when the Special Prosecutor ordered them to turn over all e-mails related to White House crimes like outing a CIA agent.
I hate to ask because I know its a hassle but what law? And maybe this special prosecutor was requesting emails under gov't jurisdiction - emails sent over gov't property. If he has the authority to seize private emails and those emails were destroyed then there may be a case, destruction of evidence and obstruction of justice.

The US's policy on global warming is to wait 2 years when China surpasses it in greenhouse gas emissions and then blame them. I think it has a chance.
