Didn't you used to be a prophet of "teh Lord God Putin," Tass/Tassi/Tacc/whoever? Or am I thinking of someone else? I'm just saying, most of us aren't comfortable worshipping apostates...

I used to be in hiding about my divinity (because I work in mysterious ways like that :|) and it is indeed true that Putin is an exceptional mortal, and so I pretended to worship him in order to get the rest of you to do so.

But really, your level of comfort is irrelevant. Since whatever I say is true, and since I am God, you have to worship me regardless. I transcend urlogic. Just have faith - it feels a lot better

Really guys, the soapbox tv preachers do the secular cause all the good it needs. You aren't going to convince anyone by making up (or linking to) stupid parables that are so logically flawed that an arts student (even filosofy) could drive a truck through them.

Also, every day I have my suspicions about America being the root of all evil (or stupidity, at least) reaffirmed

              rest of us non-believers

I will tell the truth: I created Australia in the knowledge that one day all the idiots would congregate there, making it easier for me to convert them all at once upon my great return.

Things are going according to my plan

Typical pomo post-structuralist Kristeva-lite Francophone vagueness, based on a diet of Chateauvallon repeats, half-remembered Denys Arcand dialogue, a poor production of 'Hosanna' and a surfeit of lampreys and flan Breton.

Like Dr. Johnson, 'I refute it thus' and go back to enjoying the unalloyed genius of Les Negresses Vertes.

I don't shave my Occams for just any old handsome Quebecois.

If you go back and read my post, note that I said I was not trying to convince anybody. I just said I thought the parable was funny, which I believe it is.

The parable does have a good semblance to arguments which have historically been used. Say, Pascals Wager. But they seem to have gone out of style lately, as people have become more educated.
