Indeed, I like using the word 'arse', e.g. "I can't be arsed etc...", however I leave the 'ass-handling' to the Yanks...

Besides, there's lots of asses in the Middle East - they're a major beast of burden in that region, so it seems more appropriate for that reason as well.

I don't recall this 'ass-handing' by Hezbollah. Where did this momentous defeat of a whole army (or army group) take place ?
Was the IDF able to accomplish any of its objectives whatsoever? Apart from destroying virtually the entire transport infrastructure of a peaceful nation...

    Answer: Emphatically NO!

Therefore if you are comprehensively prevented from achieving ALL your direct objects, while your enemy conversely achieves all of theirs - YOU GET YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU!!!

      Excuse me ? Lebanon ?

I'm not quite sure how the phrase 'a peaceful nation' applies to Lebanon- either as a theatre for a particularly unpleasant civil war, as a country playing host to a foreign army, or as a staging ground for terrorist attacks on Israel or indeed its own citizens.

Perhaps we have different notions of what peace means.

Therefore if you are comprehensively prevented from achieving ALL your direct objects, while your enemy conversely achieves all of theirs - YOU GET YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU!!!
So in other words, you don't know of any actual defeats of the Israeli Army by Hezbollah, yes ?

Lame. You're writing like one of those ghastly Brit-lite meejah types who 'obsesses' about something, or who just 'snuck' into a shop.

I have no objection to using Yankslanguage, but not when there's already a Brit equivalent.

What does that have to do with Judaism? All religious fanatics of all religions hate gays fanatically.

Israel is probably more gay friendly that most of the states in america. Jewish reformist and conservative communities in the USA are also usually gay-tolerant.

Saying Jewish fanatics hate gays more is stupid

          Actually its gay

            {begin word usage quibble]Siro, its "Reform Jews" or "Reform communities" Reform hates it, but some people say "Reformed Jews" Nobody here calls them "Reformist" Reformist implies, you know, bourgeois reformists, as opposed to revolutionaries. Guev may use the word, but he wouldnt be using it for a synagogue movement. {end word usage quibble}

The Lebanese government is not strong enough to challenge Hezbollah without tipping the country into yet another long and protracted civil war. Just because Hezbollah is on Lebanese turf doesn't mean they are responsible for them - that's a bit like saying the US was directly responsible for the IRA because of their massive fundraising campaigns etc...

So in other words, you don't know of any actual defeats of the Israeli Army by Hezbollah, yes ?
Plenty actually. I have already pointed them out to you. Essentially every failure of a stated Israeli objective was a Hezbollah victory.

Israeli army hostages - Israel failed to get them back (have they got them now?). Victory to Hezbollah.

Israeli attempts to destroy hezbollah's rocket firing capability. Abject failure. Victory to Hezbollah.

Israeli stated aim of destroying Hezbollah. Abject failure. Victory to Hezbollah.

The list goes on. Israel comprehensively failed in ALL of its major stated aims. The campaign was a humiliation for Israel - therefore they were defeated. Obviously if they were defeated - Hezbollah won!

Sorry, haven't a clue what you're talking about. The only obsession round here is your delusion that Israel actually 'won' against Hezbollah...

Hezbullah failed to release Hezbullah prisoners.

Hezbullah failed to reaffirm its strength in southern lebanon.

Hezbullah failed to gain and secure popular support for itself and its campaign. Infact, Hezbullah is seen as more of a threat to Lebanese security and independance than ever.

Hezbullah failed to secure its headquarters, or the fate of some of its highest ranking members.

Hezbullah failed to hit any major israeli targets or installations, or successfully use its piles of strategic weapons. Most of its strategic weapons were destroyed in the first days of war.

Hezbullah was most probably on the brink of depletion and moral failure on the last weekend of the war.

There are more stuff I can't go into.

Failing at stated aims sure does suck.
Being almost pulverized is somewhat another issue.

If victory = survival, then Israel still pwns, because it survived with its life status-bar at 95% and Hezbullah with a red 20% life bar.

                                But interesting definitions you have
