Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Any body taking photos of Greek military establishments deserves to be arrested and shot for stupidity. Such places are dripping with warning signs in all directions from a great distance and there can be no excuse for ignoring them and breaking the law.

I was arrested in Trafalgar Sq last week.I was reported to the police by one of the wardens, who witnessed me taking candid photos of women in Trafalgar Sq.At no time did I hide what I was doing.I was arrested and later charged with the offence of outraging public decency. After 9 hours in a cell,I was bailed to appear at a later date and have had all my camera equipment held as evidence.

I think the Brits handled the situation they found themselves in very well -- up until the time they got their people back. They should have indeed apologized to Iran and told its people to shut up. This is not to say that Iran was legally correct in the first place. But they did let the Brits go, and for that, the Brits owe the Iranians.
When Carter was president, the Iranians keep the US hostages for the rest of his presidency, rubbing his nose in it every day. Had Carter been a little more respectful of the Ayatolla, I think we would have gotten our hostages back a lot sooner. Instead, we got a hostile Iran that has been a thorn in our side since.
