I know CivFanatics, I signed up when they opened, but I spent most of my time here, but I did spend most of my modding (civ3) time there, as they are more active (and more skilled).
But you are acting as if Apolyton and CivFan are two different countries with two different cultures; it isn't like that. Merging the community together is only going to create a more lively website. Of course, for some, it's not going to be easy to adapt, but given time, it will simmer down to something better.be free
