Well if AAHZ get's to feel better by praying for his roommate, then it has a point right there.

Just as long as he doesn't really expect it to have any effect on his roommate, of course

And if he does expect it to have an affect on his roommate? How should he be punished?

He shouldn't be punished of course. I am merely pointing out that especially in times of crisis, praying is probably the very worst thing you can do. Any action is, after all, better than none

But of course I am not wanting him to get punised, DaShi....what kind of man do you think I am?

Not the heartless one - that's a fact. But not the religious kind either

Worse than repeatingly hitting his sick friend over the head with a baseball bat? Worse than sleeping with his sick friend's girlfriend (which he is so doing, that sly dog)?

Yup. Both of those would induce some fighting spirit in the poor sick person.

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't it be more effective to hit him on the head instead of over ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Actually, I'm not sure you can if it was serious - though hope your friend is doing well.
