I would like to second the "eww, they told you" bit. And in the past it was expected that the girls go in completely clueless (more so than just not having had sex), and that the guys have a few experiences (sometimes even prostitutes) beforehand.

One thing is that a lot of people I know have had low numbers of sexual partners. Even though not many of them are Christian (many even just having sex with their SO, or just with their SO involved). This might be a geek thing though (geeks seem to fall under two categories... crazy orgy ones, or have only a couple of sexual partners, maybe even just 1).
