    and burn down Charleston
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

On the one hand, this is hardly great art. It is pretty much solely a political message presented graphically, it doesn't challenge (at least, it doesn't challenge more subtle minds) the way great art does.

On the other hand, it's hard to fall in line with neanderthalic goons who think that this whole thing is anything to get upset over. The confederacy is dead, and a good thing it was.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

It's not intended as art. It's intended to be a troll, art is just the alibi.

                      • Says a guy with a flag that says Texas on it. In the 19th century new states liked to put their name on flags.

                        • Ummm, the flag with Texas on it was from 1836. Texas was gaining freedom from Mexico, as a true Republic, not some tagalong wannabe impersonataor.

                            • Truth is both Texas and California were all too eager to be incorporated into the US. If they had any serious backbone they would have never wanted to trade one master for another and settle at becomming merely a state. Sure there is lots of talk about republic from both but neither had the stomach for the truely independent way.

                              • Before you go chastising anyone, you might want to get your facts straight.
For all of California's postering, there was no difference between their absorbtion into the U.S. than any territory. Texas was a legitimate Republic.
Texas negotiated entry into the U.S., twice. Initially and after the War Between The States.

Personally, it matters zippity do dah to me what Oerdin or Koy, or Monolith have to say as regards their opinion.
History is right there. All one has to do is break down and become educated on the subject.
