Who would have thought the administration would attempt to claim their gag order wasn't a gag order. Nope, Bush has never lied and given double speak before.

I love how people make Bush out to be the bad guy here... as if he's the one behind some massive conspiracy silencing the scientists.

You actually think Bush is going to waste one minute of his time dealing with bull**** like this? Please...

He delegates, remember? His scientist gagging is done by his underlings... hmmm... "Scientist Gagging"... sounds like a great porno movie.

But back to my point... I hate it when people can't even bash Bush properly.

It's like watching someone fire a gun wildly. Sometimes their aim is so bad, they wouldn't even hit the ground if it wasn't for gravity.

      Well done bashing

"It's very important to know what the position of the United States government is on these issues. If two scientists want to talk over a coffee, that's fine. We want them to do that," he said. "But in an official capacity you need to know what your role is. This is not about gagging scientists. We don't want to do that."
Why would anyone care what Bush thinks? This is bull****. Why hire scientists if they are just going to say whatever some moron wants them to?

...because no one would believe a politician.

So the politicians have to hire scientists who'll repeat what they are told to say.

Yeah, and who would put any trust into scientists payed by politicians such as Bush and Gore ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Yes, you are a perfect example of how capitalism works. I can not deny that.

Its main evil is its tendency to "export costs" i.e. polluting other people air and water, misrepresent the goods or services it sells. As the old muckraker's poem went:

                        Mary had a little lamb.
One day she saw it sicken.
She marched it into packing town,
                        And now it's labeled "Chicken."

Actually - I don't know what is worst - one Marx destroying everything or the other Marx sending the world into total chaos

                                OK, bright eyes.

An administration memo directs foreign travelers on U.S. government business not to discuss "climate change, polar bears, and sea ice". Further, any foreign travel "involving...climate change, sea ice, and/or polar bears" requires special arrangements.
If traveling on government business do not discuss "climate change, polar bears, and sea ice". Nope, no gag order there. It applies to scientists as well as career staffers so please stop. You are only embarrassing yourself.
