Don't mention the polar bears, Bush tells US scientists

Well, since I only accept the science path and you obviously has chosen the political path you probably are rigth
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
The science path doesn't envolve gagging scientists which is what has occured here and in many other places. Bush truly is waging a war against science he doesn't like.
Some, however, see the general rise in polar bear population and scoff at the possibility of regulation. “The law doesn’t say to look at any possible future threat. It says look at the data…if it’s not endangered then it’s not endangered,†said H. Sterling Burnett, a senior fellow from the National Center for Policy Analysis, a non-profit organization that promotes private alternatives to government regulation, who has written about the polar bear issue.
What counts, he said, is the number of polar bears that exist right now, not some possible decrease in the future. He noted the overall polar bear population has rebounded from about 10,000 to 20,000 and asserted that warm temperatures in the 1930s were similar to current conditions, yet polar bears survived then.

3-D printed parts are in planes right now, but manufacturers are proceeding carefully out of safety concerns
I may be crazy, but I'd probably wait until the polar bear population actually started falling before we start trying to "save" them...
I especially enjoyed this part:
Andrew Derocher, a polar bear researcher and biology professor at the University of Alberta, led a study that found no evidence that polar bears can make the transition to become a land predator. They try to hunt in open water, but do not appear successful. “It is prudent to act sooner rather than later,” since large carnivores are not easy to conserve, he said.
Yes. It's prudent to act now to globally restrict human economic activity when friggin polar bears just might be threatened!

It's not just against a few people; it's against everyone who might talk to a foreigner in an official capacity. That's called a blanket gag order.
Hugh Vickery, a spokes-man for the US Department of the Interior, said that the memorandum was "badly worded" and there was no intention of limiting informal discussions. The memo was intended to cover official bilateral talks where there is an agreed agenda and was an attempt to ensure that scientists stick to the areas within their remit, Mr Vickery said.
"It's very important to know what the position of the United States government is on these issues. If two scientists want to talk over a coffee, that's fine. We want them to do that," he said. "But in an official capacity you need to know what your role is. This is not about gagging scientists. We don't want to do that."
Yup, those darn scientists are certainly gagged

And you have been waging a war against the English language for quite some time... yet few complain.
I love how people make Bush out to be the bad guy here... as if he's the one behind some massive conspiracy silencing the scientists.
You actually think Bush is going to waste one minute of his time dealing with bull**** like this? Please...
He delegates, remember? His scientist gagging is done by his underlings... hmmm... "Scientist Gagging"... sounds like a great porno movie.
But back to my point... I hate it when people can't even bash Bush properly.
It's like watching someone fire a gun wildly. Sometimes their aim is so bad, they wouldn't even hit the ground if it wasn't for gravity.
i will volunteer if you like... im very good at defaming peoples character. ive actually made quite an art of it
No offense AAHZ, but don't try - there may be few bushy supporters here, but they certainly will incinerate your wings even before you take off
