Why would you move into a place with a cheese shop?

Yeah, that is avoidable, but not moving into a place
where people isn't buying /coocking cheese.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Asher, what really offends you is other peoples smell, not any kind of health risk.

You're damn right I'm annoyed by the awful smell. I'm also annoyed by the health risk.

Inconsiderate smokers can go **** themselves.

I agree with Asher. People who smoke in confined public (or semi-public) areas are inconsiderate bastards who should be flogged in the town square.

I used to live with a girl who was smoking and had lots of fights with her, as me and the other locator didn't smoke. We wanted her not to smoke in the "saloon" (hall), especially since it didn't have but one tiny window. I wasn't that angry at first, but I got when there was a time that to make room for a guest I've slept in the "saloon", and it was completely filled with smoke by her and her friends. She was very angry at that demand, because she liked to sit in the "saloon" and watch tv. So she put a chair in the treshold (?? the place between two rooms, where door it) between her room and the saloon and kept smoking, and was very suprised I minded that (because, obviously, the smoke was going out of her mouth directly to the saloon, and she smoked A LOT). She was making lame excuses for breaking the rule - that it's OK to smoke in the saloon if there are guests (but she had guests like every evening...), or when she's anxious about something (but she always was).
She is a very wise girl, but by that (and not only that) she's not only deteriorated my opinion of her, but also made me really dislike smokers.

Her and Syrians - some Syrians do not mind smoking in buses or mini-buses, even next to children.

A new neighbour of mine apparently smokes in the hallways. At least, for the past few monthes, my hallways occasionally stink of cigarette, whereas they never did (and my building had several big smokers, who were polite enough not to smoke in the hallways)

I'm all for the banning of smoking in enclosed public places, ie, indoors. When we are trying to apply this to the outdoor environment it starts to get a bit silly - with no justification whatsoever...
