It was indeed funny, as was Simon's crack about the little girl's face saying it all...
Still, I don't really want to talk about Sanjaya. The fact that he's still on the show is too painful to think about. Pakistan's cricket coach is dead but this little bastard is still alive; the Indians could learn a thing or two from their crazed neighbors about dealing with national embarassments...KH FOR OWNER!

I read that the producers saw the girl crying for joy about something else prior to the show and gave them seats up front. SO the whole thing was calculated which explains all the exposure they gave it.
And just who was that sobbing girl in Tuesday's "Idol" audience? After the show, the Los Angeles Times chatted with Ashley Ferl, 13, of Riverside, Calif. For some long minutes after the show, Ashley remained in a state of serious sobbing, but eventually the story came out.
The family had tickets to attend a taping of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" which allowed them to attend a dress rehearsal of "5th Grader" or "Idol." The mother and daughter found their way to the "Idol" rehearsal, where Ashley's waterworks began. Producers summoned the two to a ringside seat at the final taping.

I agree with that article rah. The way that girl cries, it's not the kind of cry anyone would make during a song.
And the fact they stuck it in Melinda's song is very annoying, they could have had fun with it and put it with Sanjaya's. So now, Melinda, a good singer has this bullcrap in her career thanks to the producers.be freeComment
