Both, they even claims to be anti-fascistic, but since they use their methods, I'm not so sure.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

And I know for sure that you don't know any anarcists. Possibly you made aquantance with some, but you never really knew them.
Actually the analogy still holds. Just like a child they are really powerless to force people to give them what they want. They may snatch it for a moment but in the end they are powerless.

The analogy still holds in that children can grow up and learn to get their candy themselves and not rely on others to get it for them

This is really something that is hard for you to grasp because you are so different. Anarchist believe in freedom of the mind first (to be different), not just freedom of the body or material things. Children are not like that of course, because they are not like that. Perhaps it makes you feel better to think of them as babies, but I can assure you that that is not true. Children don't want to go to jail. This is really interesting that you have so much trouble with this one.

Kid what is so hard for you to understand. I am not saying they "are" children. I am merely saying that they are behaving like children.

Something they wanted was taken away so they threw A tantrum. Then the anger fades and they get distracted by other things. They might periodically throw tantrums again.

I have no doubt that as individuals they may be complex perhaps even highly intelligent . . . but their group behavior is childlike

Well, it may have been a mellowing action that the police this afternoon handed out bricks from the building to interested spectators

Given the history, there may be people to whom such a brick is a cherished momento

                • Oh and kid

since you know this group so well, are they all youths? What is the range of ages?

I am curious as to what has happened to the anarchists from 17 years ago that founded the place. Are they still coming round? Are they still anarchists or were the original folks more socialists or communists?

No doubt - even the local historical museum has collected such - my comment was more aimed on the "evil" police that set such a thing to work - it's not excatly what you would expect police to do

Especially when they had people throwing bricks at them only a few nights ago

I know that you asked Kid, but still being in the thread, well..

Average age of users is probably close to 17-18 going low to 13 and high to 21, of course with singular exeptions. There has been a steady flow in and out of the place as times goes by.

Do you have any sense where they end up? I know the answer is "everywhere" but do you have a sense if most remain as anarchists or whatnot

That was an evil question . Some thirty years ago I could have given a precise answer, but well, it's not like they are deemed to wander haplessly around in the streets of Copenhagen. There is several other places they can go to but probably not with the sense of "I'm now a member of an ... society".

One thing is though certain - they will not be out on the streets.
