IIRC, after 10 years, your lungs are as if you never smoked.

But there's a variety of positive effects before that. It takes one day for the first positive effect to occur IIRC.

In Quebec I'm sure it means funny guy.

Buffoon and bouffon is not the samething. Learn to speak french, then tell me what is more accurate.

Why are you being so mean to Spiffor?

For what it's worth, "bouffoon" translated to English is "buffoon".

                      Well, it ain't worth shlt.

Not because you use our words that they have the same meaning.

                      Like Actually and Actuellement.

                      Actually means En fait
Actuellement means right now or at the moment.

Want other examples, there are many others.

Buffoon is actually derived from Italian: buffone.

If you look up "Buffoon" in an English to French dictionary, it returns "bouffoon". If you talk to a real Frenchman, like Spiffor, he translats "Buffoon" to "Bouffoon" as well.

                        Learn French you bastard.

Ya ok. I dont really give a lousy shlt what you think. You ain't gonna tell me what a word means in french.

Bouffon in french means a funny guy, a guy that always tells jokes. No matter what you say, thats what it means. Deal with it.

A buffoon is a funny guy in English too. The problem is the reason he's funny is people laugh at him.

You don't know what the word means, apparently. Continue lecturing, please.

1549, from M.Fr. bouffon, from It. buffone "jester," from buffare "to puff out the cheeks," a comic gesture, of echoic origin.
