I say wipe the slate clean, completely. Completely erase the timeline and start fresh. Just like James Bond and Batman.

In a sense that is what they just finished with SW, and we all saw how that turned out.

I say another ship, TOS era. Good plot lines with fighting Klingons and stuff so we won't have to sit though seasons of mindless holodeck and computer virus episodes. TOS was a more interesting era politically.
