It's not necessary about the money, but the fact that he could live his dream (that is if his dream was traveling the world without having to worry about anything)

What B has is his genetic legacy passed on to future generations, which is the only measure of success that exists for all lifeforms across the board.

I already said that I thought A was more successful, but having children is an achievement that does outlive the person.

Even People without children can have legacies that outlive them.
Think of da Vinci, Mozart, even Hitler, they are famous even now, decades to hundreds of years after their death.
Not because of children but because of what they did in their lifes.
