The community forum has also seen better days and better jokes.

The community forum is supposed to be for issues related to Apolyton. Such as technical problems or staff inquiries. It's not supposed to be a spam-disguised-as-banter forum that it was recently. At least reinstating postcount here moved most of the spam to OT, making that forum now *gasp* actually serve its purpose.

Bullocks. Do you remember how fast and swift it was during the coffee shop threads?

Nonsense. You're spamming. These posts could easily have been consolidated into one.

            a) Exactly. Why do you seem to think it is better now?

            b) Bullocks. The community forum has always been a secondary scene for OTers.

                More mindless drivel

Why is spam seen as so bad?

As long as it isn't a bot, no probs.

It's better because it has less crap in it. Open the forum - most recent threads are actual site-related issues/questions, not a spamfest. And there isn't even a second page in the default view.

It wasn't exactly a secondary OT. The people who mostly posted there a few months ago rarely posted in the OT, because they wanted postcounts (I don't think I need to mention any names). And you'll now see plenty of OT posts by these people if you take a look.

Actually the major change has been due to the demise of Dr Strangelove. This place just isn't any fun any more without his witty repartee to liven the place up.

And it's too bad that new poster, Merkin Muffley, isn't terribly witty.

And how does he know Dr Strangelove, I don't think he's posted her during February!

                              Pah.

I bet posting in the moderators forum has eaten all your brains How can you criticise a lively forum like that?

Site related issues were always a big hit.

We just had a few more threads which were posted by people with issues. Perhaps not site related issues, but serious issues nonetheless

There are about 15 regulars in this thread alone, and its a fraction of the total.
