since posts started counting again. I liked it better before people started mass creating trivial new threads on a whim - and engaging in all the "friendly bantering" in existing ones to up their post counts.

The moderators don't seem to care much. I've yet to see any action taken against this new pattern. Granted, spammers have become a bit more clever in disguising their efforts than they were in the old days, but it's still blatantly transparent what they're trying to do, and the Off Topic is overall suffering for it.

How do you feel? Have posting patterns changed and if so, are you bothered by it?

The mass thread copying has been a tradition for far longer than post count was returned.

actually whats suffered is other games, where people used to be so clever about creating barely on topic threats, or coming up with trivial new threads, or engaging in friendly bantering - Dr Spike still keeps the flame alive, for the most part the energy is gone.

And yes, this place has changed. And it changed last year, and the year before that. If we had proxy records we could probably prove it has been changing for eternity.
