The nukes were more of a prestige program than anything else. Kim's real WMDs are 40,000 hardened artillery pieces pointing towards Seoul.

      Very likely, missile technology.

The Iranians really have little to gain from Ahmadinejad's stance. It would be a plus for them to get civil nuclear power, and once they have that, stepping up to nukes is not that hard if they really wanted them bad. A confrontational Iranian stance now creates so much negative pushback not only from the US but as we have seen, from Europe and specially other ME countries that Iran faces a net loss. It would be much better strategy for them to coll down the rhetoric and calm things down.

I mean, it's fine if you want to expound upon the obvious. You have the right. If you're going to use my post as a jumping-off point for your intellectual masturbation, however, you should have the common decency to at least attempt to address the question I raised. If you can't manage that, then just leave me out of it. I don't need my reputation sullied by an association with your drivel.

So, will Bush get credited if negotiations work with North Korea?
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

                  I would give him credit.

I give him ****e when he goes cowboying off, creating havoc, death and destruction. Here, he had enough sense to see this as a regional problem and to insist on the 6-party talks. Without China and the other parties on board, this agreement would have never been reached.

                  So cudos to 43.

Let's be fair, their GDP is only $22 billion.

Wait, you think you have a "reputation" that can be sullied?

Well, you do have quite an imagination there.

GePap does have a reputation but you couldn't really sully it much further. Maybe if he started cheearleading MOBIUS.

KNBC just had a slideshow on cheerleaders who grew up to be famous. They included Ike, Reagan, and W.

Samuel L. Jackson was another. Can't you see him and Travolta as a pair of cheerleaders? "Okay, you m****f***kers, you'd better cheer with great enthusiam, or I shall bust a cap in your ****."

I was trying to paraphrase his "hit" speech in Pulp Fiction. Didn't he quote a Bible phrase, something like, "I shall strike down with great vengence ...."
