Here's his Stewart appearance. It's a pretty fun interview to watch.

Before I was hoping for Evan Bayh (absolutely great candidate, I've met him in person and he's a great guy) but he's not running for 08.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

I have to say, just off topic, that I like the 4 year system. We have 6 years, so for example now that our president was re-elected, it means she will be in power for 12 years. That's a long ass time you know? OK, and you need to start working in your 5th year to fight in the re-election, so.. I mean, there's no pressure for results. 4 years, MUCH better. Keeps things a bit more alive as well.

And he was a much better SecState than she's been.

Yeah, but she'd probably be a better President than Buchanan was .

Hmmm... Obama may be a bad choice for the Dems to put up in a general election. He will do incredibily well in the traditional democratic strongholds... easily winning most of the black vote, and the big liberal cities... but that's not where the dems have been losing elections. They need to win some of the battle field states, and race may become an issue there.

Who the hell cares about race when a lack of any real substance or experience is a much bigger issue?

I contend that atleast he's not another boring white guy. He may win a battleground state just for that.

Are they any young but intelligent and experienced southern governors on the democratic ballot?

Look at the choice they had to make. An incompetent robot or a soulless elite without any real convictions of his own. Christ Ming. I know he was probably your state senator but that really doesn't qualify the man to be president.

When did I ever say he was qualified... I was just stating that the point you made (while important to some people) really means nothing when it comes to an election.

This is simply 'testing out the waters' type of candidacy. If anything, the best outcome Obama is seriously looking at is being offered the VP slot of some dude that beats him in the primaries.

Not a big deal. Happens a lot.
