Why not? It isn't going beyond this season after all. She could recover, and probably will, but there really isn't any reason why Atia is sacred to the plot anymore. Now with Octavian in southern Italy and Antony in Gaul, her relevance is far less.
Though that being said, they'll probably let her live, though it'd be far more interesting if she died.
