Also, if you think about it - almost every product has (or used to have, historically) some single country that did it really well.


For instance:
Belgian chocolate
Swiss chocolate
Swiss watches

Norwegian fish

Columbian coffee


So what are some famous exports, and the historical stories behind them?

For instance, we could talk about the rise of the Israeli military industries, following an increasing sanction on selling weapons to Israel by communist countries (on which it relied until the mid 60s), the rift with france (in 1967) and the sanctions by western countries due to opec pressure.

For instance, how selling to different developing nations became a major export, and how training and creating foreign armies proved beneficiary. Did you know for instance, that the IDF basically create the taiwanese army?
