Damn Firaxis for not knowing how to arbitrarily insert letters to approximate an artificial sound from a foreign language that doesn't use our alphabet.

One can, for instance, go to the Wikipedia page and find out. If Firaxis is too poor to do even the most basic amount of research into the matter, then something is terribly wrong

I did, actually. Asoka redirects to Ashoka. This means that someone at Wikipedia thinks that mistake is common.

It's not that hard. You just have to remember back to high school. Actually, it's kind of fun like a puzzle or something. Now deferential equations that stuff sucked. I totally would have failed if it wasn't for lazy people bringing down the curve. As it turned out I got a C and was happy that I didn't have to go any further.

You're full of ****. Transliteration of foreign names leads to multiple accepted spellings. For instance Osama/Usama.
There's nothing wrong with writing "Asoka". Now take the stick out of your ass and change your name back.
That's not the point, Tassadar5000. The point is that multiple transliterations sometimes exist for one word. What defines "correct" is merely what most people who know about such things accept right now.
The fact that multiple sources use or accept Asoka (which only the slightest bit of research will also reveal) suggests that... err... what's my point? Oh yes! It suggests that this is a mind-numbingly stupid debate and that correcting the spelling of a name that only exists in Sanskrit and has been transliterated multiple ways into English is pretty ****ing lame.
