Oh, as for the other one:

I think the congruences of AEC and BCE, along with BA and CE, are enough to prove that ECBA is a regular trapezoid and EC and AB are parallel.

But it depends on how much geometry you've studied and how much your class already "knows." I got in trouble all the time back when I did geometry for using theorems that we hadn't proved yet in my proofs.

i haven't the slightest idea of what we've studied. i just know we're on 6-5 in our books. so i'll go with that.
i like alg2/trig MUCH better. we get like no homework in that class.

Therefore angle ADB is congruent to angle EAD

DA and CB are two parallel lines with a transversal DB
Therefore angle ADB is congruent to angle DBC

Angles EAD and DBC are congruent by the transitive property.
BC and AE are congruent (given)
AD and BD are congruent (given)

Therefore triangles EAD and CBD are congruent by side-angle-side.

DE and DC are congruent by corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
Triangle EDC is isosceles, so angles DCE and DEC are congruent.
Angles DCB and DEA are congruent by corresponding parts of congruent triangles.

DCB - DCE and DEA - DEC are congruent -> ECB and CEA are congruent.

Therefore triangles ECB and CEA are congruent by side angle side.
Therefore AC and BE are congruent, QED.

I'm watching episodes of Scrubs right now, but I'll start on the other one at the next commercial break.
This ****er beat me to it. Though it is sad how much of this stuff I remember dispit 14 years of ignoring geometry.

edit: I screwed that up. Yeah 10th grade sounds about right. I think I took geometry in the 9th grade. It was a real tough year for me. But I managed to get all A's.

Oerdin, that hug will land you in prison. And not one of those nice places where you join a gang and go for all the race wars, but more like the one where you are the one getting molested every day, all day long, and at all times.

hugs are okay. though I don't think I'd risk it. I'm wary about hugging my coworkers.

Just make sure to keep your hands above the waistline.
