I'd peg him as either a follower of Chaos Undivided or Tzeentch. He didn't strike me as being as into as much bloodshed as Khorne would like. Kimmy in North Korea is definately a follower of Slaanesh though. Omar al-Bashir is the dictator most likely to be a follower of Khorne.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
Humans are, by their very nature, disgusting beings.
We wouldn't be sinking very far at all, not with our track record, anyway.
You're assuming that there would be a time limit on the sentence of torture.
"Indefinite" has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
Yes. That's why I'm against the death penalty. Life is something to be cherished.
We could argue the religious angle, where there's the whole part where we are not gods, and therefore not fit to judge...
But really? There are billions of people who don't deserve life, and billions who do deserve it but don't have it.
His life, whether he deserves it or not... well, it's not something I feel comfortable in removing from him, since I cannot replace it in someone else who's already deceased.
However, I have no problem with reducing his so-called life to the most meager, horrible thing imaginable. After all, life is what you make of it, right? And if we make his less than joyous, well, I suppose he'll just have to live it in place of all those Kurds in the same fashion he granted them.
Eye for an eye. So to speak.
So you think it is immoral to kill him, but its ok to torture him for the rest of his life? Makes no sense. You say torture for life is worse then death, so if you are against killing him would, why are you for tourtoring him for years on end. And I believe strongly that the only people that dont deserve the privilage of even breathing are murderers like Saddam.
You can watch the CNN video showing Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan dancing in the street instead, GP .
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.â€

After all, think about it. Now that it's clear most of us are enjoying his death in some form or another, doesn't it feel kinda cheap?
It's a one-time high, which will fade.
Whereas the knowledge that he's alive in a prison, having done unto him what he did to others, but being kept alive, even if only by a hair's breadth... you get to revel in life. You also get the continual knowledge, a continual high, a continual enjoyment and sense of justice.
Then again, people are idiots and will often take the one-time payout rather than the annuitized amount. Dumb ****s.
For the record, I'm against the death penalty even for Saddam. Rotting in prison (under the minimum conditions allowed for humane treatment) for the rest of his natural life is perfectly fine. Having the state murder a murderer is not justice it's revenge pure and simple, so go lead your moral high-horse to a crocodile-invested river Jack.

So you think it is immoral to kill him, but its ok to torture him for the rest of his life? Makes no sense.
Actually, it does. I say very explicitly that I do not believe that murder in any form, whether it is state-sanctioned like execution, to abortion or euthanasia, is moral. (Then again, since I'm Libertarian, I don't mind so much if other people should engage in such behavior, so long as it tramples not on my rights.)
However, nowhere do I make any claims on what form that life should take, should someone merit a piss-poor form of it.
Frankly, it's a lot more intellectually sound and coherent than the contradictory positions of supporting the death penalty while opposing abortion.
You say torture for life is worse then death
I didn't say this at all. Stop trying to project your twisted value system, which derives pleasure and enjoyment in the form of justice over other people's (ostensibly deserved) executions onto me.
, so if you are against killing him would, why are you for tourtoring him for years on end.
Bad behavior must result in punishment. He tortured and murdered thousands. Therefore, while we can't murder him a thousandfold times, we can torture him for the length of time that all his victims enjoyed his hospitality.
And I believe strongly that the only people that dont deserve the privilage of even breathing are murderers like Saddam.
Good for you. However, in the Christian sense, you're human.
And unfit to judge in these matters.
Of course, you could argue that I'm doing a selective reading; however, what I'm doing is no different than what all the other leaders of organized religions do.
After all, the Bible does allow for the selling of daughters, as well as numerous other unsavory practices.

Humanity for an inhuman monster? How is that any different from the clean slate that is execution?
If we're worried about souls here, regarding the continual torture and abasement of someone like Hussein, I guarantee you there are numerous people out there who are soulless husks who would be able to discharge their duties with no trouble at all.
I suggest looking for the children's soldiers in Africa for recruitment.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Who the f*** cares about his disposition after incarceration. This is about how we as a society treat even the worst of us. I care more about our character as a civilization than the fate of Saddam's soul.
