BTW I predict that Korea will be reunited in the next 25 years. It will go remarkably similiar to German unification where the poorly performing communist economy will attempt to liberalize in order to continue its rule but eventually it reaches a crisis point where most of the people just want to junk the communist system.
The economy will be in the process of collapsing while resources and habitibal land dwindles, population levels are higher than ever, and the gap between those with power (money) and those without is higher than it has ever been in human history. General chaos and stupidity will reign for a few generations as people attempt to cling onto material comforts and consumerist ideals. Western societies will be in complete mayhem with rape and rapine even more extreme than it is today. Indigeinous and uncivilized communities will welcome the collapse of the authorities that had been confining them and will be allowed to live again, provided they can avoid the rampant looting and savagery of those trying to cling on to consumerist ideals. This will continue on for a few generations untill population levels come back down to a sustainable level and people adapt a new (old) way of life.
If this forum somehow, by some divine twist of fate, survives for 50 years we will still have this sort of this discussion.
So my prediction is this thread will appear 50 years hence but with +50 years added to the current title.

I see massive demographic problems in 50 years. This may sound stuck up (a reference to my thread ), but I'm not really talking about myself. I think we've already seen some effects of birth control on the demographics. I'm not going to touch any race issue. The simple fact is the stupid people are out reproducing the smart people.
What effect will this have exactly? Hard to say. Already in the U.S. we are seeing doctor (and nurse) shortages. We have to import talent from other countries. Some of these problems can be overcome with robotics and computers. Not as many smart people will be needed as computers and robot will eventually do their jobs. But I still see massive gaps in the skilled labor and professional labor markets. I know I'm judging on limited experience. But of all the places I've worked. All the young people they've hired are complete morons. Once the older generations die off who will fill their jobs?
How can society deal with labor shortages? What will its effects be? Most likely a decrease in standard of living. This is my main prediction. In that the standard of living will go down for the first time in 50 years.
Will societies crumble and anarchy ensue? Not likely. I don't predict any major problems except for some theories I have put forth before. And that is if weapons of mass destruction become widely available. In that case, I expect most large nations to cease to exist, and break down into small nations. Globalization will be severely curtailed. But I suspect that will take longer than 50 years to happen. But how long before a group of madmen can take down an entire nation with about 30 nukes? Most likely it will take 75 years before there is any widespread nuclear proliferation.
And I do predict Israel will cease to exist and of course minorities will have a greater say in Europe and North America as their populations overtake caucasians. North and South Korea will reunite, and Taiwan will become part of China again.
The main problems as I said will be quality of life issues. Things like water scarcity, clean air, clean cities. Available medical care. People who can fix your car. People who can give you a drive thru order without ****ing it up.
