hmmm... this thread got me thinking.
I live across the street from a Ranch 99, which is a chain of Asian supermarkets, mostly on the West Coast.
here in suburban Asia-town, we've got Asian restaurants, car dealers, shopping centers, supermarkets, theaters, you name it. But where's the Asian equivalent of Walmart?
ah, i can only dream it now... endless aisles of tacky clothing... live fish at a dollar a pound... every karaoke tape known to humanity... all served up in pink bags with an asian smiley face ^____^. we'd have nicer greeters to, that would bow at every customer...Visit First Cultural Industries
There are reasons why I believe mankind should live in cities and let nature reclaim all the villages with the exception of a few we keep on display as horrific reminders of rural life.-Starchild

Yeah, that is important for me also. Of course, there are sevreal 24 hour grocery stores around me (and I generally don't go to Walmart) (although I did at one time).

There are four or five Asian supermarket chains with stores in San Diego including Ranch 99. I'm not sure how they do it but they do offer some incredible deals on live seafood. A few weeks ago I was shopping there and saw whole live crabs being sold for $6 each. They were big ones too.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
