Well then UK loses because the Russians make the whole island glow in the dark. The UK doesn't have the nuclear arsenal to do nearly as much to Russia.

Russia would overthrow the British Regime, cause civil war, but declare that it wont leave untill the job is done.

And then 15 years later, Russia would withdraw, and England would have won.

I would be a race to see who could build either a huge air force to go bomb the other side or a big navy to invade. In the UK's case they would also have to mobolise their manpower which would take a few years.

In the end the UK couldn't win a land war in Russia and Russia would never be able to succesfully invade.
