I thought that the evangelicals supported Israel in the hopes of sparking the apocalypse. "So here's the deal -- we give you military and financial support, your country is destroyed by Gog and Magog, and then we get whisked away in the rapture while you go to hell for eternity for being a bunch of Christ-killers." My problem with Borat is that he is low brow comedy for the Elite. However, they seem to think that you need a college degree to understand him. Students at Yale University were given free tickets to see his movie. He's taken far too seriously than he should be and is playing stereotypes and racism for money. How about creating a bucktoothed Chinese stereotype and go prancing around the South peeing in Coke? Yes, these people are ignorant hicks. We know that. Why not try looking at the system that allowed that to happened? The one run by the Elites. Borat is just more snobbery.

Perhaps we should add "pointy-headed" to be clear that one has to be more than just university-educated and professional to be an elite. I am such, but I would not call myself an elite. If a person actually thinks he is an elite, then there is a corollary thought: He or she must think everyone else is "inferior."

These people are not "elites." They are SNOBS.

Ok, ok. Here's the truth.

Borat is working with an underground group that secretly run the USA.
President is like England's royalty, and this mafia-like group calls the shots.

This group planted and detontated bombs in WTC.
Borat also conspired the assassinations of Bobby and John Kennedy, as well as Martin Luther King, Jr.
A little known fact is that it was Borat's grandfather, who also was a part of this group, who planned and orchestrated the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Well, youdo have a point there. But Krauthammer's point is that Borat was seemingly trying to expose the racism of Israel's last remaining friend while ignoring the overt racism of a whole list of people and regions, all who seem to have one thing in common, their leftism. This is not to say that the moderate left is anti-Israel. Most Democrats are moderate left and support Israel. But the hard left, the socialists and other flavors of Marxists, definitely have fallen in with the Islamic fascists. Their criticism of Israel is often now stated in very racist terms, clearly anti-Semitic.

The Ali G show mostly targeted people in the UK and the character Borat originated on the Ali G show. I believe the Borat movie was set in America because that's the biggest audience for the old Borat clips so it was natural to put the movie there.

Plus the guy speaks English and it would be hard to get his jokes across to Arabs, Germans, French, or Spainish people.

Friends don't let friends go to hell for being christ-killers. On the other hand, evangelicals don't mind having their Jewish "friends" go to hell if it speeds up the evangelicals' being raptured away.

In other words, the fact that evangelicals are attempting to hasten a devastating war in the middle east doesn't mean that evangelicals are particularly friendly towards Jews.

From what I've gathered, the "the jews will convert" sentiment is just ad hoc "we want to trigger a devastating war so that we can go to heaven and the majority of the world's population can go to hell, but we're not evil by any stretch of the imagination!" reasoning with which the evangelicals can maintain the illusion of adhering to a sane moral code.

I.e., if you believe that God is forcing homosexuals to be homosexual so that He can arrange for the horrific slaughter and damnation of the vast majority of homosexuals, while magically converting a minority of homosexuals to heterosexuality so as to really rub in the fact that God hates fags, then I would conclude that the belief that "God hates fags so much that he'll make people gay just so that he can damn them to hell, but he'll un-gay some of them just to prove a point" is rather unfriendly towards homosexuality (despite the fact that God un-gays a few homosexuals in the end).

The very word Elite implies that someone is better than someone else.

The notion of equality is a socialist one. No self-respecting conservative can possibly think of people as equal, and unless they are touched in the head they can't possibly think that someone who has merely a high school education is equal to someone who is college educated, as the market clearly shows, with the huge difference in average compensation, that there is no equality between the two.
