The article by Krauthammer does point out that lefties like Chavez are among the loudest bashers of Jews. I suspect the referenced "leading Norwegian intellectual" was hardly a neo-NAZI.

Recall, the Red Brigade long ago was working closely with the PLO. Today, North Korea and Iran are virtual allies. Chavez speaks with the vileness not even reached by you-know-who in the '30s. Commie flags are waved openly at Hamas rallies.

Krauthammer did not go so far as to say this, but he is obviously chastising Cohen for attacking the Jews one remaining friend, the American right, while ignoring the real threat to the Jews from the hard left (and Muslims, of course) and their fellow travellers.

I have never understood the modern right's attacks on the Elite. After all, the Elite are obviously better - they are wealthy, intelligent, on top. They are the sort of people that the right governs for, cutting their taxes, making sure the hoi polloi don't hold them back. And yet they get pissy when the elites make fun of the kncukle dragging imbeciles yokels who will never know the difference between equities and commodities.

Maybe the Right should stop the hypocrasy when it comes to the elites, who after all have the blessing of the Invisible Hand, otherwise, they would not be elite.
