better they fight the war on their own territory, and make us look like idiots and make any future attempts at nation building and democracy promotion look like bad ideas.

No, technically you did... as was shown after the invasion time and time again.

The only reason you should be there is humanitarian. But since that was never a priority in the policy you managed to screw that up also beyond repair.

                In related news:

The UN released a statement that in oktober 3700 Iraqi's have died through violence. That makes the 133 mentioned in the OP more or less the daily average.

Odd, since you were the one talking about occupying Sudan from you arm chair it is funny seeing you pull out the "chicken hawk" label.

But what do I know Modius, I only spent two tours or one year of my life over there.

You are ignorant and full of crap.
I'm not going to explain it to you. Go look it up.

and you have the brain capacity of a fly.

nowhere in the UN resolution you find that Sadam was in breach. You guys just turned it into that... after every argument you had on Sadams WMD program disappeared into thin air.

Not even taking into consideration Southern Watch, there is no UN official who agrees with you about whether Saddam was in breach of the UN inspection requirements. Nobody of consequence denies this.

Um. How could Saddam have been in breach of the inspections if the so called WMDs never existed in the first place?

But that is ancient history now. The US has spent around $500 billion and destroyed a once functioning and modern country. The least they could do is sacrafice a few more thousand troops and spend another $500 billion (better be quick before the USD is completely worthless) to put it back together again. You know, like they did in vietnam.

But wait, Iraq has already cost more $ than vietnam. Go figure.

First. There has been WMD's in Iraq and they have been used. Second. Due to this fact there has been suspicions about their continued existence, and the refusal of saddams regime to let UN check such existence lead to the war - NOT any claimed knowledge of their existence,

First, the WMD that were the reason of the invasion of iraq did not exist anymore (or at least after years of searching they have magically disappeared into thin air). And I distinctly remeber Powell saying in the UN security council saying the US knew they were there.

Second, that was the US's neocon governement's spin of the story. Every other person involved did not share that view. Otherwise they wouldn't have needed their coalition of the willing, no?

Just because you've taken a direct part in killing people doesn't give you any more weight in saying whether that killing was just or not.

Otherwise, all murderers would be innocent.
