If we go by the exit polls, Webb should be up by 7.
CNN shows McCaskill down by 4% with 63% of the precincts in. Supposedly there are big Dem areas yet to be counted, but I doubt they would make up the gap...

In the last two midterm elections the president's party picked up seats. IN the last "6 year election" in 1998 the Dem's picked up seats.
The republicans had control of congress for 12 years straight. Before that the dems. controlled the house for at least 30 years before that.
Elections in which control of the house switches parties are NOT common.

Democrats easily carry Arkansas's constitutional offices (Attorney General, Secretary of State, etc)
In state races where no Republican ran (Auditor of State and Commissioner of State Lands off the top of my head), the Democrat won but the Green candidate carried 15-20% of the vote. Is that normal for races where only one major party fields a man?
Drudge now has Webb up 7k. No way Allen can make that up with .74% of precincts left. But I'm not believing that the absentee ballots will favor a democrat until I see it.
This is a very thorough article on the Tenessee race.

I dispute your assertion. I think MO is going to go D by at least 2%

Record numbers of absentee ballots everywhere this year. Which means it's not just for the military any more...
Think you got your math wrong. I count the difference as 1,798.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
