  • also notice how there were very few civil rights complaints this year as the democrats are winning.

As polls began to close in the East, Justice Department officials said voter complaints to federal officials had been "low" on Tuesday.

        • notice how the economy is doing better now also! Or is that because it happens usually during mid-term. HMMmmmm.. oh, and since when did security breaches become a political issue of one party? It should be the concern of all parties and everyone who wishes to live in a democratic country.

Whoa there. 1994 was a 54-seat House swing and an 8-seat Senate swing. This is not that.

              • Looks like Allen lost by 2,265 votes out of 2,284,023 cast. 2,265 votes could determine control of the Senate!

                • Don't forget absentee ballots. They could easily swing the election back to Allen.

It almost certainly won't be 6. Probably 5. Plus several Governorships...

                      • But no, this is certainly not a normal midterm... Just look at the macro numbers. The only things that keep their losses as low as they are the absurd districts we have, and that not that many Republican Senate seats are up this cycle.

                        • By the way, comparing with 1994 is sort of hard given that the Democrats were defending 22 seats, whereas tonight the Republicans were only defending 15

                            Why not?

VA looks like it'll hold for Webb, and MO will probably go D based on current counts (location of non-reported precincts) and exit polling.

                            • There's no way to predict VA right now, with absentee ballots and a potential recount.
