That is what I read. That 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3 for soldiers to go to iraq (for those who have never gone, those who have gone many times, and those who have gone once). And the article said that field artillery was one of the ones that got sent less.
JM. They get to go on foot patrol!

Jon, normally the Army likes to keep their FA soldiers with their heavy artillery equipment. But with the current situation and the lack of manpower..."creative thinking" is taking place - like sending FA and ADA soldiers without their "heavy" equipment to Iraq just to keep the soldier count up in theatre (Iraq/Afghanistan). Over-all, it's really a sad situation IMHO.____________________________

Military Ocupational Specialty.
It's a number given to every job in the Army. Like the 11s are, if I recall, infantry. (11B, 11C etc)12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

Yes. Officers do in fact have an MOS. But officer's MOS's are totally seperate from enlisted. Normally, to differentiate between the two; Enlisted soldier's field is called their "MOS" while Officer's field is called their "Branch"...but it means basically the same thing.____________________________
