Today I will be given my branch in the army. It's kinda a big deal.

That isn't quite true.
1/3 goes to Iraq once, 1/3 goes to Iraq many times, and 1/3 doesn't go to Iraq at all.

Good luck Apocalypse! (or should I say: 2nd Lieutenant Apocalypse) Let us know which branch you get assigned to. I just hope that with the current political/military situation, you don't get stuck in a Combat Arms branch of the Army...it could make for a very long 8 years...
