Now after bigging up my car, I shall criticise it by saying it has an integrated CD player that basically can't be removed (I want an MP3 player, as the CD changer is in the boot! ).

The main prob though is that it doesn't have air-con, which never used to be an issue but now global warming appears to be setting in with scorching summers I am seriously reconsidering because it meant I decided to cancel my two-month Summer camping roadtrip to France and Spain because it would be too hot!!!

I was thinking about the next car also being LPG, but that would mean it would have to be fairly new - say no later that 3 y.o. to make the conversion economical...

We had a thing in the UK where we were paying massively over the odds for new cars and people would shop on the continent for them and bring them back. That seems to be mostly fixed now.

I don't mind that the steering wheel is in the wrong side of the car as long as all the other cars are the same - once I rented a car on malta and had no problems driving it (admitted, the maltesians are smart, they have given rental cars a different color on the the number plates to warn other drivers ).

Yeah, I can go to germany and buy a cheap used car, and I can even get it back home, but I can't drive it before I get some plates, and then they want taxes to be paid. The tax is based on the market value so it is cheaper, but unless it's a mercedes or like, the costs are so high that it isn't worth the trouble.
