This is great for muscle-building, but this isn't good at losing weight. Actually, if you gain muscle without losing fat, you might end up looking fatter (happened to me in the past)

See if you can spend some very long hours at the pool at some time during the week (say, during the weekend).

If you combine both muscle-building and fat-losing exercizes, you'll end up with a very athletic body

      • Well, that's the only criterion that actually matters

        • Also with it being aquatic, my weight doesn't seem to cause me too many problems...and most of it came from the irregularity of my eating patterns due to shiftwork. But I am not working shifts any more (flexitime since a few weeks ago now, woohoo)...and because of this flexibility with my time, it is why I can swim!

          • it really is about eating less calories. That's all there is to losing weight. It's no big secret.

It takes a lot of willpower though. Some people have it more than others. I actually find, if I stay busy, I can avoid eating without too much trouble. I only run into trouble when I'm bored.
