  • And the Denny Green "They Are Who We Thought They Were" Award for today goes to Northwestern, as the Wildcats held a 38-3 lead midway through the 3rd quarter, only to wind up losing to the Michigan State Spartans 41-38. Amazing.

    • Wow, I thought the Spartans were going to grease the rails on the John L Express outta town, but instead they came back from down 38-3 at 9:54 in the 3rd to win 41-38 over Northwestern. Biggest comeback in I-A history.

That and two more wins (still mathematically possible) will get them a bowl game.

        Wisconsin 24
        Purdue 3

Purdue had the #4 offense in college ball coming into the game.

        • Defensive battle: Michigan 3, Iowa 0 at half.

Iowa intercepted Henne on a tipped ball deep in U-M territory, but we held them to a FG. Now 3-3.

U-M scores TD after big KR by Breaston - over 60yds to Iowa 35. Iowa drove the ball down the field, but only got a FG.

Mike Hart now over 1000yds rushing for the season.

          • Looking like Notre Dame going down.

EDIT: No, but this is a day of close games.

            • That was an awfully ugly win. But I'll take it.

Jeff Szamarzjida is a real gamer. He's the one that started the comeback at Michigan State by making a long touchdown out of nothing on a muddy field.

                    • Video replay overturns a fumble call on the field. U-M keeps possession. Now if they could only figure out where to spot the ball.

Edit: Hey! We even got a first down!

                      TD Mike Hart!!!
