It seems like the Dems will be taking both houses of Congress.

Ahh, yes they did do that. I thought you were saying they messed up the country more which is impossible when you don't have control of any branch of government.
I think Oerdin doesn't give the Democrats enough credit to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
Yes, that seems to be the pattern recently. Why should it change.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

If I were you I just wouldn't mention Foley, given your track record.
Yes, given that one of them was mostly correct and the other was only a minor error. Please see one of the numerous posts I've made in response to your inane posts.

Very possiblely true. Look at the California governors race where the Republican incumbant was polling in the high 30's and the centrist Democratic candidate was polling ahead of him yet the extreme left of the party got a loser from the far left nominated. As a result an election which sound have been a slam dunk is now a losing election.
There most certainly are idiot extremists who control the nomination process and who are to stupid to listen to successful Democrats like Bill Clinton. The centrist way is the way to win elections.

No, it means they're not up for election.

At least if the election were held today though we still have a month to go. Slate has a great article on this showing the breakdown of the Senate races where the numbers are as follows:
Noncompetitive Seats (meaning landslide for one side): Dems 27 Reps 40
Safe Seats (meaning pretty big leads): Dems 18 Reps 8
Leans one way seats (Slight lead): Dems 4 Reps 1
Tossup: 2 seats
That means it is likely to be 50 seats for dems and 48 for Republicans with 2 seats unknown at this time. If the dems take one or both they win control while if the Reps take both seats then they tie.
Am I the first to point out that those numbers don't add up at all to 50-48? They add up to 49-49. If you could read the article you quoted, you would have known that.

Even Fox News has reported that 11% of the US population has said Folleygate will be of "extreme importance" to them when deciding who to vote for. Scary for Republicans but conservatives seem to care more about their man have gay sex and hitting on underage boys then liberals. That means conservatives are more likely to get pissed off by this and thus not support Republican candidates.
Combined with distaste for the Iraq war and with conservatives upset about the Republican controlled Congress not doing much of anything. These people have figured out that Republicans only talk big during elections but don't actually want to solve "problems" which conservatives care about. Instead the Republicans prefer to keep issues unresolved so they can continually use them as get out the vote issues. This is very bad news for Republicans running for office next month.
If Democrats can't pull off a victory given this "perfect storm" then they need to kill themselves.
