Hilarious as in bad? Or hilarious as in good? Or are they laughing at the debate?

As far as "Blade Close, Electric Smooth", I've never heard of it, but I'll say that it's a terrible slogan that I would gripe about.
I think this is the very definition of anal.
          Unbelievable!

Granted, I'm not a copywriter, but being in the ad business, I think it's within my rights to point out issues that I have with what I consider to be boneheaded moves or notions.

            The industry's masturbatory like that.

Regarding your original argument: that slogans aren't meant to be grammatically correct. While you're right with that point, that doesn't mean that I can't fault the slogan for being bad, which is what I was doing here--my method, my weapon of choice for making that point, however, was through grammar.

Fair enough. I don't think anyone here would disagree that it's crap in a general way.

What's wrong with going back to "Be all you can be" and using the money that would be spent coming up with ****ty slogans and funneling it into developing good promotional gimmicks like America's Army?

Well, post #7 gave me the impression he had the same "sure it's asinine, but that's par for the course on Madison Avenue so who cares?" sentiment I do, but maybe I misinterpreted. In any case we both know Slowwy doesn't count.

This slogan is slightly better then an Army of one but worse then Be all you can be.

"Be all you can be" was as good a slogan as the Army could ask for. But the Army was stupid
I think you meant to say Army stupid, Ming
