This is a difficult question to answer and my answer could be misleading if the purpose is to use my response judge the political leadership at the federal, state, and/or local levels of my respective governments.

However, in general I am doing better than I was 4 years ago.

But that being said, my situation has improved due to decisions and actions I have made and been responsible for. Despite the ineptitude of leadership and mismanagement of government resources at all levels, I have continued to make great strides in achieving success in my life. Although, rising health care costs, energy costs, student loan costs, and other expenses have become an increasing burden on my family. But still, we continue to work through these challenges.

My life is much better, but it would be nice to have some help. I don't feel like my government (at any level) is doing enough to ease the burden with any of its policies. In fact, I suspect government is doing more to help private interests profit rather than help the public.
