I'm curious to see how people vote in relation to their ages.

My guess is that whichever decade you were a teen/college student rates as the best music for that person - with some crossover using a margin of (+/-) 10 years.

I'm 26. That means teen/college years were in the 90s and the first two years of the 00s. I rate both of them at the bottom of my list (70s, 80s, and 60s as top three... in that order).

all the decades have really good talented bands, and great artist
70s; Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes and so on..
80s; Peter Gabriel, Mikael Jackson, Madonna, Metallica, Slayer, and so on
90s; The pinnacle of Death metal; Cynic, Death, Aghora, Pearl Jam and so on...

The vote will be more fair if we only include music that came to great popularity;

What was the best decades for popular music? I would say the sixities... because of the Beatles! A great pop bands... The nineties sucks for popular music!
