It's not clear to me whether the charge was brought by Isam Maigel and Hana Saad, or by the copper. If the authorities are running around encouraging muslims to feel aggrieved it's hardly surprising that we have a problem.

As for how did Ronnie Hutton know their religion - maybe the missus was wearing her sleeping bag, making the religion a give-away. Round my way its been burkatastic since 7/7.

I get cussed at all the time. Actually, it's an odd day when some one doesn't call my mom a b1tch. I usually just smile and hand them the ticket, "Here you go, your court date is ______. Drive safe and have a nice day." As long as they don't threaten myself, family or some dude that just cut them off, I really don't give a rats ass what they say.

I'm happy to hear some law enforcement take a permissive attitude. Personally I take the view that there is no point in pissing off the guy with the gun so I am as polite and respectful to the officer as can be.

Actually I usually don't blame the police guy anyway. When they ticket me, I usually WAS speeding after all.
