Fantasy Hockey Draft Take 2

Thanks guys for doing the Bapay, even though Tucker is the Leaf player I least like, but a solid final pick so I can't complain.

My team is nicely balanced with veteran superstars, a couple of second year boys ready to explode into superstar status. The big question for my boys is the goaltending. Will Luongo get the support he needs for wins? Will Raycroft continue the Leafs' tradition of castoff goalies becoming brilliant again in the blue and white?

meh. Not really interested - I think it's a bit much - those are usually 1:1 bets.

There's always an excuse..."it's preseason", "it's early in the season", "there's still half the season left", "there's still a chance we can make the playoffs"...the fact is a losing team is a losing team. And the GM moves during the summer were, IMO, terrible.

It's one thing to lose a preseason game 3-2, to get blown out and shut out when you've supposedly spent the offseason bulking up your defense is pathetic.

Asher, the next time a coach or GM gets fired because of the result of a preseason game, I think, might be the first.

Of course. If I called for somebody to get fired, I'd see why you'd make that comment.

I'm merely mocking Toronto for looking pathetic out of the gate -- the White vs Blue intra-team scrimmage looked horrible and so did their first game. I predict a terrible season for Toronto -- not only based on their pre-season play, but also based on their roster.
