I'm curious how often people here see a doctor. At least one person mentioned an annual checkup.

I haven't been to see a doctor for a very long time - somewhere between 10-15 years. Maybe it's time to go? (I'm 33, believe I'm in fine health, rarely get sick, and run 11k 2-3 times a week.)

          I see a doctor 4 times a year currently.

          But then, I am ill.

Before that I saw a doctor once every couple of years.

In the last year or so I have been running 4-5 times a week and lifting weights ~twice a week. I lost ~15 pounds and then put it back on in muscle (was never at all fat, but am now very lean and somewhat built). My diet has gone from meats+cheeses/fats+pastas to consisting largely of lean meats (I eat around a pound of chicken breast a day) and some pastas and fats. Much lower sweets intake. I consume alcohol at about the same frequency and volume as I did before. I am, without a doubt, in the best shape of my life as measured by cardiovascular or muscular fitness. I was walking by a blood pressure tester in the pharmacy a couple of weeks ago, and decided to test myself. I got a 137/78. Today I decided to retest in case it was a fluke and recorded a 138/75.

              I'm 5'11 and 162 lbs (1.80m and 74kg) and 26 years old.

              WTF?
It's likely diet. Drink more water, cut down on the salt, and stop smoking the crack.

                Almost every day

I see a doctor almost every day. But then, I married one. Of course, she specializes in pediatric genetics, so it doesn't do me too much good. My son, on the other hand, benefits a lot.

I got a complete check-up 10 years ago or so and have seen a doctors a couple of times since . I think I should go for a checkup again though. My wife ( a nurse) checks my blood pressure and heart rate every month or so but its also good to have a blood test since it can catch a lot of different types of problems

Your wife is secretly putting bags of salt in your food, anything to shorten this interminable period before she can collect on the life insurance pollicy you accidently signed for a few weeks ago.

That seems somewhat excessive. Try eating some beans.

It could be because you have one of the most stressful jobs in the world. Maybe. . .I don't know what you do exactly.
