    That is meaningless.

The real debate is how much should be attributed to greenhouse gasses being churned out by humanity and how much is just a normal weather cycle.
Good point. I'd put our influence on the warming of the 21st century at about 20% (+/- 20%).

    • Update on the Southern hemisphere tropical cyclone season:

There have been 21 cyclones so far this season, which is about normal.

There have been four intense cyclones so far, which is maybe a bit below normal (6 would be the average for 21 cyclones).

      Summary: normal.

      Apocalypse: postponed.

Well that's obviously linked to our mild autmn and mild winter* (* so far - late march snow for us all next week).

The mild six months have been due to persistent south-westerly winds. had the winds been in the north or east, the North Sea would be below average.

          It's called weather.

          • It's more complex than just global warming. El Niño and La Niña have a big impact. We're expecting a lot of storms next year because of a developing La Niña.

Update: The Southern Hemisphere is approaching the end of its tropical cyclone season, with typically 85% of the season’s storms having occurred by now. It has been an uneventful year, with storm count and intensities slightly below average.
The Southern hemisphere accounts for about one-third of the globe’s storms, which is two to three times more than the better-publicized Atlantic.

The Western Pacific season will start soon. Sea surface temperatures are near-normal. The tropical Atlantic is slightly above normal but is expected to return to normal temperatures by the late summer.

                Apocalypse postponed, I guess.

You are talking out of your ass... I know what was living in the North Sea 15 years ago. And i know what is living there now... Things have heated up significantly. And a few mild winters are not going to change that.

have or have not Europe's winds been mainly in the SW this winter?

Do or do not SW winds bring Europe it's milder winters?

(And there was still a milder winter in the second decade of last century, without all this global warming, UHIs and warmer SSTs)

                          • That has still nothing to do with the fact that the north sea is 2 ° warmer on average than it was ten years ago...
