Ok I have no clue why or what the hell is the big secret that happened five years ago and almost sure i dont really care, but i am sure that this is not a place to dredge up **** that doesnt matter anymore! For gods sakes it has been from what i gather 5 years and who the hell cares anyway?

TCO's feelings are just as legitimate as Tia's, frankly. What Tia did way back when crossed a line which for some men is the thing they fear most from women. Regardless of what mea culpas and apolgies have been offered, no one is under any obligation to accept them. Tia will need to accept that and move on. She was in the wrong, She has no right to expect forgiveness.

But if self biased can get over what was done to him, I think the rest of us should too. This is a man who, after having scorn heaped upon him by the rest of the board, took it with grace, and dignity, and seems to have forgiven Tia and the rest of us. If he can give Tia his best wishes, I think the rest of us can to. We could all learn from his example.

I have to say I don't believe in liars either.

I always just ignore anything dramatic posted by the poster in question - of which there has certainly been no shortage, looking back - but since TCO has raised some legitimate concern and is now catching flak for it like there is no tomorrow, I must say his points are solid and not in the least out of line. In fact, I think they're very much relevant to this particular thread.

TCO's point is that someone who would lie about her age and being pregnant to snag a fellow poster is likely also to be the kind of person that would make up something horrible to get sympathy. That's a legit point.

If self-biased can move on though, I think we should also, especially since I think TCO's really only writing it to be an ass, and not because he's actually agrieved. If it was Supersneak writing itnsead, I'd believe it was cuz he was still pissed.

Winston, among all Apolytoners, you are one of those who get cheap shots about your "character" most often. You know full well there are some people here who can't stand you. And they sometimes resort to attacks that are below the belt, even in threads that are completely unrelated to your "character", and in threads that are important to you.

You sure dislike it, and you have reported your fair share of posts that attacked the poster (I mean, which attacked you).

So, I do not understand how you can say something like that. If you think that every Tiamat thread deserves to be open to old grudges, then you'll agree that each of your thread deserves to degenerate into something about your personality.

I'm sure you don't want it to happen to you, so I'm sure you understand that Tia doesn't deserve it either.

And if it's true, who the **** cares? It's not like we sacrifice anything to feel sympathy toward her. And we can't trust anything we read on the net anyways.

We had the same contention about Thorn some time ago, when Darius (I think it was him) said those were just lies aimed at getting a laugh at the Apolytoners' expanse. Someone aptly replied that it has no importance whatsoever, since the actual loser is the liar, not the one who expresses concern for a fellow human in stress.

It's not a matter of whether one deserves it or not. This is a board that functions based in large part on the premise that we can trust oneanother and the things we post here.

If you betray that trust on a sufficiently serious issue, not least when it involves another poster or posters here, you either move on to other pastures green, or you accept the fact that some people won't trust another word you're saying.

You can't just pretend nothing ever happened, and you can't viciously attack people when they point it out to you, without being viewed as a rather pitiful.. person.
