The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

And you get the bonus of the view on a neo-classicist museum of fine arts on top of that. Should make the fuzzy traditionalist inside of you feel happy.
Lots of students and stuff in there. It was not pricey for an apartment. Plus you have some trees but still bars a block away. Plus I had money.
Or I could live closer to bars, closer to my school, in a nicer looking neighborhood... for less money. But hey, I'm one of those crazy people that thinks the weather in Atlanta is horrible (Then again, no one that's lived in the Bay Area would consider the weather in Atlanta in the summer good.)

Bull****. I've been there, but you haven't been here, so you really have no idea.
Stop trying to compare Highlands' walkable facilities to those in proper urban environments. It's silly.

What if they're not all same sized? What if some of the streets are crooked, mainly due to geographical features, such as... oh... A MOUNTAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY. Interesting enough for you?
That would help, but check out my citycenter, not many NA cities will have such a random layout:
I'll have to agree with TCO on this one. Atlanta's layout is rather chaotic.

What's Antwerp? Is that Holland or Belgium. I get confused about that artificial distinction. I've done Amsterdam and the sprout city. Amsterdam was nice on my visit. Liked it more then Brussels. But maybe I just saw some downtown parts of Brussels at work and hotel that were rather boring.

Chalk me up with the traditionalists. I find most of the modern buildings to be either boring or pretentious eyesores, especially those designed in the 1960s-70s. Here's an example of their beauty:
