  • I Hesitate To Post This Joke

Two Middle Eastern mothers are sitting in the cafe chatting over a pint
    of goat's milk.

The older of the moms pulls out her bag and starts flipping through
    pictures and reminiscing.

"This is my oldest son, Mohamed. He would be 24 now."

The other mom replies, "I remember him as a baby."

Mom says, "He's a martyr now."

    "Oh, so sad, my dear."

Mom flips to another picture. "And this is my second son, Kali He would
    be 21."

"Oh I remember him. He had such curly hair when he was born."

Mom sighs, "He's a martyr, too."

"Oh gracious me" says the second mother.

"And this is my third son. My beautiful Ahmed. He would be 18", Mom
    whispers.

"Yes", says her friend enthusiastically, "I remember when he started
    school."

"He's a martyr also", Mom says, with tears in her eyes.

After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photos and says: They blow up so fast, don't they?"

I Hesitate To Post This Joke

Not half so much as I hesitated to open this thread.

Thank God. Your dementia has made you forget about the organ debate already.

Why so shy ? It was actually funny.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Jokes are not supposed to make you sad.

But you titled the thread well, SlowwHand. It would not have been half as tolerable otherwise (although that is not saying much).

This is why, BlackCat. I knew there would be some that got their panties in a twist over it.

And who says I am wearing.... oh nevermind.

But trust me, you would know if anything was twisted on my end.

All I am saying is that it made me sad.

Nah, you get me wrong - I don't point fingers a muslims or like. It's the twist at the end that makes it funny.

Bury them in pig skins, as much as I care. Then think about the moral differerence between a stealth bomber and a suicide bomber, if you can find any. Then laugh at the joke, if you still can.

Funny, or amusing? I don't think it was laugh out loud funny, but it was a clever play on words. And clever equals amusing in my book.

For all the details the joke gives, they very well could have all been blown up by a stealth bomber... doesn't have to be suicide to be a martyrdom, eh?

                      It's a good joke, though.

I guess that you by amusing means entertaining, and that doesn't match. It's fun due to the wordplay but not to the fact that people are murdered randomly by insane people.
