I would agree with you Lori as I don't see it as a negative. It is just that when some men use the word, they almost make it sound a little apologetic. I am glad that you are not one of them.
The real reason there are no interesting threads on Poly is that the world has become a very boring repetitive series of bloodletting events.
Only so much can be said about destruction of hope before people simply get tired of posting.

To be perfectly honest with you, I tend to layer my posts with so much sarcasm that if I come back days later and reread what I've written, I'm not even sure of my intent.
That said, what I meant was this: If one were to go on stereotypes, then yes of course a bunch of asocial computer nerds will want to hear about a female's legs, especially recently waxed ones. But if one were to be more realistic, we're usually not quite that bad, so it's not as if we truly do need to hear about your legs. But then if one were to really consider the way things actually turn out, you'd also realize that we are mostly guys who like girls, and what reason would we have to turn down hearing about a female's legs, even if it's not absolutely necessary that we must hear about them?

Got it?
Yes, I believe I do now. Thank you for explaning. I should also clarify that the "fun story" in question is not about my legs, per se. It is about the agony of getting the hair ripped from one's body by the root.
I suppose a guy hears about a woman's leg appearing in a story and gives it a sexual connotation. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if that is what you are expecting then you will be dissapointed.
I like it when it's not so busy around here. Now it's possible to follow up on threads daily without having to plough through 3-4 pages/thread every time. During busy periods, only the threads with great popularity last more than a day...
OT is a victim of its popularity I suppose?
